Nobody and many Grade 6 SOAR classmates had a wonderful time on Friday evening at the Concert for a Cure. The musical buffet was very entertaining and the host was amazing on the ivory keys! All his hard work and dedication raised $5,171.00 for leukemia research! Congratulations!
We also were honoured to have Mr. Tim Culliton and Connor speak to the Grade 5 class last week about the Crosby'sChallenge. This challenge raised $425,000 for the Children's Hospital of South Western Ontario and demonstrated the generosity of our community.
Another member of SOAR has been volunteering at the Alzheimer's Society and would like members to participate in the "Walk for Memories" on Sunday, January 24th.
Nobody has also been busy shovelling driveways for the elderly, participating in a Food Drive for the House of Blessing, and visiting an animal shelter to look after the kittens.
