You do not need to travel to a faraway place to stick your neck out and help someone. Just look outside your own front door. Can you see:

• the kid down the street who is having trouble reading
• the elderly man on the corner who can't mow his lawn
• the homeless cat sleeping under your porch
• your friend whose family has to count on the food bank for their meals because their dad lost his job
• the park that is covered with litter

Everybody can do something. If you do something you are making a difference. It's great if it's a big splashy thing, but it doesn't have to be. Small deeds can have a big impact. The key thing is to do something!
